Being a good citizen, as well as a
good Christian, has always been a hallmark of the
Knights. Members of Monsignor Marshall Council 103
K of C exemplify that conviction.
As such, Council 103 Knights of Columbus endeavor to
support church and community however we can.
Brother Knights assist disabled
persons by building access ramps to homes, so they may
enter and leave without difficulty.
Should someone be unable to afford a wheelchair
or walker, the Knights will provide.
We volunteer to help others in need.
K of C Council 103 members
characterize the Knights' ideals of charity and
community service by participating in local Habitat for
Humanity projects.
Annually, our council awards
graduating high school seniors scholarships to attend
college. Council
103 also provides financial support to local seminarians
pursuing the priesthood.
Every year, the Knights run a
Tootsie Roll Fundraiser to benefit people with
disabilities.
Council 103 conducts a Raffle and a
Pancake
Breakfast, whose proceeds are used in charitable
purposes.
We sponsor a Basketball Free Throw for
boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 14, as a
way to provide entertainment and enjoyment for the young
people in our area.
And, of course, we volunteer for the Catholic Youth
Center's annual block party on Melville Street as well
as donating bottled water and soda to the event.
Our Council assists the City of Pittsfield Parks
Department "Santa Calling" helping Santa phone
youngsters.
Council 103 works closely with Pittsfield area
parishes.
Each parish council and priest knows they may
call upon the Monsignor Eugene F. Marshall Knights of Columbus Council to assist however we can, be it
financial,
cooking / manning a booth at a parish event, or simply
hammer and nails.
