Council 103 Contributes  to Habitat for Humanity's  Projects

As most of us know by now, Habitat for Humanity has become a focus of Council 103's community support activities.   Council 103 volunteers frequently join together at a Habitat building site in a spirit of community fellowship.

While the photos associated with this article were taken at Habitat's  King street location, they reflect the sprit and enthusiasm our council volunteers have carried over to all local Habitat projects in which we participate.  Council Habitat original organizer Rene' Manghue, pictured right, states our council's ongoing collaboration / cooperation with Habitat  "...is a relationship we’re particularly happy to build upon.  The John Fcamaraderie, goodwill / good work, is good, clean fun and what we're largely about as a core value."

(Pictured at left is council volunteer John Filipi.)

Knights of Columbus - Monsignor Eugene F. Marshall Council 103 - Pittsfield, Massachusetts exemplify the Knights' principles of charity and community service through helping Habitat for Humanity provide homes for local families.

Above, two adjacent Habitat for Humanity homes, situated off King Street in Pittsfield, are located only a short distance from K of C Council 103's Saint Charles headquarters.

Council 103 Habitat for Humanity volunteers, pictured left to right above, are George Anderson and Rene' Manghue.

At work below right are George Anderson and Guy Noto framing a wall at the King Street project.    If  you too would like to participate in a cause that serves both our Church and Community, do not hesitate to join us.
Your involvement is both welcomed and wanted.  Rene', your Brother Knights, and Habitat for Humanity officials will make you comfortable in helping the Knights help others.
Volunteers do not need to provide their own tools to help out - Habitat will supply from an on-site tool crib (although take along anything from home you'd like).  Refreshments are also provided.

Call the council at  442-1618 for more information or to offer your services and sign up for the next K of C Council 103 / Habitat for Humanity outing.
